We have relied on Gene Lemcool for our IT needs since 1993, from network infrastructure and custom software to application support across multiple remote seafood canneries. When management required a multi-quote process before updating our software, we hired a different vendor but ultimately returned to Lemcool to clean up the code and restore functionality. We also learned that his straightforward pricing results in a much lower total than the piecework “bucket” pricing of other vendors. He has an intuitive way of understanding what we need – often before we can fully define it – and he verifies at each step that his progress stays aligned with our needs. That decades-long relationship gave us confidence in Lemcool Technologies when it came time to replace our aging server.

Our first Mark 1 DeskServer™ made an immediate difference in our operations. The system it replaced was over seven years old and painfully slow, with only 2 cores and 16GB of RAM. The new build delivers 14 cores, 64GB of Crucial DDR5 memory, and fast NVMe RAID arrays for both SQL data and backups. Since switching, our team has experienced zero unscheduled outages, faster reporting through SQL Server Reporting Services, and significantly reduced downtime. We also gained much more storage capacity and performance at a cost comparable to a much lower-spec OEM server.

That result made the second purchase an easy decision. In July we brought a second DeskServer™ online to replace our aging Primary Domain Controller — a six-core Bronze Xeon that had been running everything, OS and file shares alike, off a single RAID5 volume. The new system splits that out properly: a fast NVMe drive handles the OS, pagefile, and IIS, while a hot-swap RAID5 array of three 10TB WD Red Plus drives — arguably more than we need — takes care of file storage. It has run without a hiccup since the day it went in.

We've since moved to the desktop side with our first Basic 7, replacing an 11th-generation Core i7 workstation. The new machine pairs a Core Ultra 7 270K Plus with DDR5 memory and a 1TB Samsung 990 Pro NVMe drive, and the difference in day-to-day responsiveness is obvious. As a not-for-profit membership organization, we watch every dollar, and with DDR5 prices where they are, Lemcool recommended starting at 16GB and adding the rest when the market settles rather than paying a premium today. That kind of advice — and a machine we can actually upgrade — is why we keep coming back.

Our remaining lab machines are old enough that routine configuration work is a test of patience, and we plan to replace two of them with Basic 5 or Basic 7 systems next year as budget allows.

Deployed across clinics, home users & imaging operations

Our history with Lemcool Technologies goes back more than two decades, when we first started working together in Hermosillo, Sonora. Today, that partnership continues with Corral Computers offering Lemcool-built systems for both business and personal customers.

We've deployed everything from LT Gamer desktops for home use to Basic 5 Corral Edition systems for clinics, as well as high-performance servers supporting imaging operations. Every build has been reliable, cost-effective, and backed by exceptional support.

I personally use an LT Gamer 7, my family uses LT Gamer 3s, and our clients trust us to deliver Lemcool systems with confidence. We're already planning additional orders because of the consistent quality and value we've experienced.

LT Basic 5 →
Primary telehealth system — no mid-visit troubleshooting

I was gifted the LT Basic 5 to try for my telehealth work. I wasn't planning to change my setup, but after a few weeks it became my primary system for telehealth.

It's been consistently stable during video visits, quiet, and fast enough that I don't think about it during appointments. Charting and video run smoothly at the same time, and I haven't had to troubleshoot mid-visit.

At this point, it's just part of my workflow — which is exactly what I want from a telehealth system during patient visits.
