Buying
Why is there no shopping cart?
Because almost nobody buys the base configuration. Every system is hand-assembled to order, and most customers want something changed — more memory, different storage, a discrete GPU, a quieter chassis. Quoting rather than carting means the price you get reflects the machine you actually want, and it means we can catch a mismatch between the hardware and the workload before you have paid for it.
What does "starting at" mean?
It is the price of the configuration shown on the card, before any changes. Upgrades adjust it; your quote shows the final figure with the changes itemised.
Why do DeskServers not show a price?
DeskServer™ systems are designed around the workload they will carry, so the configurations on the site are representative starting points rather than fixed part lists. Storage layout, memory, and licensing move enough between builds that a single "from" figure would be misleading. Tell us what the server needs to do and we will price the build that fits.
How long does a quote take?
Normally within one business day. Complex server configurations can take a little longer.
Systems
What is the difference between LT Basic and LT Managed Basic?
The hardware is the same. Managed adds ongoing management — monitoring, updates, and support handled by us rather than by whoever in the office is handiest with a computer. It suits organisations without dedicated IT staff.
Do systems come with Windows?
Yes. Desktop systems ship with Windows 11 Pro. DeskServer™ systems include Windows Server 2025 Standard, which can be removed from the quote if you are supplying your own licence.
Are Windows Server CALs included?
No. Windows Server CALs and RDS CALs are not included in DeskServer™ pricing and must be supplied separately. We can provision them through TD SYNNEX on request — mention it on the quote form and they will be included in the pricing.
What testing does a system go through before it ships?
A full validation cycle: MemTest86 for memory integrity, the Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool for CPU validation, Samsung Magician for storage health and firmware currency, and Unigine Superposition for thermal and GPU stress. Roughly 12 hours of burn-in in total. We don't ship a build until it earns its serial number.
Can I supply my own parts?
Sometimes. Ask on the quote form and describe what you have. We will tell you honestly whether it fits the build and what it does to the warranty on the finished system.
